As of March 9, 2022, the project has been awarded to McKim Corporation for $1,383,555.80. The City of Hollister Road Rehabilitation Program 2021/2022 consists of repair to multiple segments of roadway in the City of Hollister through cold planing and a fabric overlay along with isolated areas of base failure repair, and to reconstruct curb ramps within the limits of pavement reconstruction. The roadway segments part of this contract are listed below. Gabilan Drive - east of Clearview Drive to west of Highland Drive Diablo Drive - east of Clearview Drive to west of Highland Drive Cembellin Drive - east of Clearview Drive to west of Highland Drive Albright Drive - east of Clearview Drive to west of Highland Drive Monticello -end to north of Terrace Drive Terrace Drive - east of Bella Vista Drive to west of Monticello Drive Bella Vista Drive -south of Sunnyslope to north of Terrace Drive Bella Vista Court - east of Bella Vista Drive to end. The Work includes all labor, materials, equipment, services, permits, licenses and taxes, and all other things necessary for Contractor to perform its obligations herein and complete the Project, including, without limitation, any Change Orders requested by Contractor and/or City and authorized by City, in accordance with the Contract Documents and all applicable code requirements.The Work includes all labor, materials, equipment, services, permits, licenses and taxes, and all other things necessary for Contractor to perform its obligations herein and complete the Project, including, without limitation, any Change Orders requested by Contractor and/or City and authorized by City, in accordance with the Contract Documents and all applicable code requirements. In addition to Contractor, City has retained, or may retain, at City's sole discretion, consultants and contractors to provide professional and technical consultation for the design and construction of the Project. The Project requires that Contractor operate and communicate efficiently, effectively and cooperatively with City, as well as all other members of the Project Team. Contractor shall diligently prosecute the Work to Substantial Completion within eighty (80) working days after the date specified in Citys Notice to Proceed (the Contract Time of Completion). Such liquidated damages shall be subject to apportionment for delays to Substantial Completion for which Contractor is entitled to receive an extension of time under the Contract Documents. Such apportionment shall not be affected by the fact that liquidated damages may not be capable of apportionment for other periods of time during which there have occurred delays concurrently caused by both City and Contractor. It being the Contractor's obligation to have the entire Work substantially completed within the Contract Time of Completion, it is agreed that such liquidated damages shall not be apportioned for portions of the Work completed prior to expiration of the Contract Time.City and Contractor acknowledge and agree that this liquidated damages provision shall be City's only remedy for delay damages caused by Contractor's failure to achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work within the Contract Time of Completion. Enclosed find cash, certified check, cashier's check or bidder's bond which is not less than ten per cent (10%) of this bid, payable to the City Clerk and which is given as a guarantee that the undersigned will enter into the contract if awarded the work. Contract Bonds shall be provided in accordance with Subsection 2-4 Contract Bonds of the City of Hollister Standard Specifications. The successful bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the Agreement, will be required to furnish a labor and material bond and a faithful performance bond, each equal in amount to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price; said bonds shall be secured by a surety satisfactory to the City. The faithful performance bond shall be made effective for a period of one (1) year after date of acceptance of the work guaranteeing the prompt correction of faulty workmanship and the replacement of defective materials. Bonds shall contain provisions to make them enforceable by the City. Said bonds shall contain a provision that the surety thereon waives the provisions of Section 2819 of the Civil Code of the State of California.
