General work description: The work consists of removals, paving, concrete sidewalk, ramps, curbs and gutters, striping, traffic signal and lighting construction and modification located at Oyster Point Boulevard between Gateway Boulevard and Veterans Boulevard, Grand Avenue between Gateway Boulevard and Forbes Boulevard, and at the intersection of Utah Ave and Harbor Way, South San Francisco, CA. A detailed scope of work is included in the bid documents. The engineer's estimate for this work is $4.72M. Bidders may submit pre-bid inquiries or clarification requests before November 15, 2023. Bidders are solely and exclusively responsible for submitting such inquiries or clarification requests not less than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the scheduled closing date for the receipt of bid proposals. Question Response Deadline:November 20, 2023, 3:00pm The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the City may dictate and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any informality or minor irregularity in any bid. If there is any reason for believing that collusion exists among the bidders, the City may reject any or all bids Cash, cashier's check or certified check, payable to the order of the City of South San Francisco, of not less ten percent (10%) of the bid or a bond in said amount, payable to the City of South San Francisco and signed by the bidder as well as a corporate surety, shall accompany the bid. The amount so posted shall be forfeited to said City if the bidder does not enter into a contract with the City within ten (10) calendar days after Notice of Award.
