A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Scope of Work : The project shall in general consist of, but is not limited to, mobilization and demobilization, installation of two (2) onsite injection wells and associated appurtenances, equipment for disposal of Aquarium exhibit wastewater (e.g., pumps, filters, flowmeters), construction of three (3) housing structures for new equipment, upgrading the piping and drainage structures inside the existing building and the property, sitework, fencing, concrete, masonry, metal fabrications, carpentry, fluid-applied roofing, flashing and sheet metal, drywall, painting, mechanical, electrical, relocation and restoration of existing utilities and other features as required, and miscellaneous related work, as shown on the Plans and Technical Specifications. 3-1-31:06 BID SECURITY : This proposal is accompanied with a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total amount proposed. The Bidder shall use the attached Surety Bid Bond form. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES If the Contractor fails to complete the work or any portion of the work within the time or times fixed in the contract or any extension thereof, the Contractor shall pay to the University $ 500.00 per each calendar day of delay. The liquidated damages constitute a reasonable estimate of the actual damages to be incurred by the University and are not meant to be a penalty. Substitution Requests Requests for substitutions regarding the IFB and its requirements, must be submitted to the Technical Representative of the Procurement Officer (TRPO), Lise Ditzel-Ma via E-mail at lisedm@hawaii.edu no later than 4:00 p.m. (HST) on July 28, 2023. The estimated construction cost for this project is $250,000.00 or more. The University reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any defects when in the Director's opinion such rejections or waiver will be for the best interest of the public.
