As of September 24, 2024, construction is slated to start in early 2025. Work packages for early trades (baggage handling design build, precon structures, utilities, roads, etc.) have previously been released. The Construction Manager Joint Venture Team are only sharing bid documents and plans with prequalified contractors/vendors. Interested parties are encouraged to visit: https://www.henselphelps.com/trade-partners-mid-atlantic-region/ Project consists of a new replacement terminal that includes 35 to 40 gates up from 34 and two serving international travelers. Work includes a redesigned roadway network around the airport and a new parking garage. The new terminal is expected to open in 2029. The airport authority has approved more than $790 million since first entering into a contract with a construction manager. These funds include: $250 million for design and implementation of pre-construction, baggage handling, utility corridor needs and other civil engineering items $28 million for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and low-voltage pre-construction services and insurance premiums $149 million for roadway, earthwork, electrical, roadway signage, pavement marking, underground utility, storm drainage work and more. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
