Santa Barbara County is seeking qualified firms to Prequalify for a full Roof Replacement (in-kind) using as much of the old tile as possible and a Restoration of the Exterior Envelope. With a possible Engineered and Installed Fall Protection for the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. The project will include the full scope of repairs necessary to create a safe, weathertight, and stable building envelope. All work done on this project must conform to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. o Temporary protection of existing materials and landscaping during all future work. o Full replacement of the roof in kind. o Rehabilitation of the existing building drainage system. o Rehabilitation of the existing skylights o Rehabilitation of existing roof wells, penetrations, and related roof openings. o Improvements to roof-mounted lighting fixtures (to minimize maintenance). o Repair and reattachment of wood rafter tails or corbels at exterior facades. o Major repairs to deteriorated concrete balcony assemblies and cast stone elements. o Rehabilitation of wood windows. o Installation of fall-arrest anchors at various roof locations to improve roof access for recurring maintenance. County reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and use any idea in a proposal regardless of whether that proposal is selected. Proposals will not be returned.
