Interested bidders must be appropriately licensed Bid RFI's Due to District December 07, 2021 @ 2:00 pm Addendum, if Issued December 10, 2021 @ 2:00 pm Board Award of Contract January 11, 2022 Notice of Award January 14, 2022 Notice to Proceed February 04, 2022 Start Date: Construction February 07, 2022 Substantial Completion Date June 03, 2022 Contract Completion (Closeout) August 05, 2022 Each Bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Bid Documents. Such bidder's security must be in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed Contract, if the same is awarded to such bidder, and will provide the required performance and payment Bonds, insurance certificates and any other required documents. In the event of failure to enter into said Contract or provide the necessary documents, said security will be forfeited. Within 10 days after notification of the Award of Contract, the successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish, simultaneously with execution of the Contract, a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond in the form required by the District, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price from an admitted surety company as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and further reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids or in the bidding. Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor's and subcontractors' current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform work. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Project Project scope includes but is not limited to preparation of site to receive (2) 30'X 30' metal shade structures, to be constructed, delivered and installed by shade structure manufacturer with associated site work to be complete prior to delivery. The addition of site paving, seat walls and associated site work as shown in the project documents for a complete and operational project. Work to be performed during normal business hours.
