Debbie Lightsey Nature Park: The proposed project consists of a new city nature park which includes 10' multiuse trails, elevated and on grade boardwalks, covered boardwalk overlook, covered picnic pavilions, nature play area, sidewalks, and an asphalt access drive and parking lot. In addition, there will be a main park entry sign off capital circle, wayfinding signage, pedestrian entry signage, informational and educational kiosks with benches located throughout the park. The parking lot will consist of paved parking and stabilized grass parking. The main multiuse trail will be a 10' wide multiuse trail consisting of crushed concrete base with limerock screenings waring surface. The multiuse trails are aligned around the existing stormwater ponds and trail connection to Patrick Avenue to the east. Stormwater infrastructure will be constructed within the parking area and surrounding areas to convey stormwater to the existing ponds as well as low water crossing along the multiuse trail to mitigate erosion. Golden Aster Greenway Trail: The project consists of a 10'-wide multiuse trail that will connect Capital Circle SW to Longleaf Road and improvements to Long Leaf Road to designate as bicycle shared use path. The trail multiuse trail will be a 10' wide multiuse trail consisting of crushed concrete base with limerock screenings waring surface. The trail will have swales adjacent to the trail for stormwater conveyance with grass ditch blocks on the west swale as well as a low water crossing along the multiuse trail. There will pedestrian entry signage at beginning and end of trail with educational signage located along the trail. The improvements on Long Leaf Road will consist of pavement markings, "sharrows" and signage to designate road as shared use for cyclists from beginning of trail to South Lake Bradford Road.
