Multiple Locations, Marana, AZ
Scope of work includes polyurethane structural foam injections on a grid pattern, at an average 10 vertical injection depth across 8,120 square feet. Concrete curb and sidewalk will not need to be drilled through, but rather injection tubes may be inserted within 6of curb and sidewalk in this area. Planned injection depths are expected to range from 5 to 12.5. Area for volume determination of measurement will be taken along the perimeter tubes and depth based on the actual subsurface penetration or refusal depth along the average end area of the proximal tube grid. The existing asphalt pavement, curb and sidewalk in this area is to remain. Potholing of existing underground waterline and other utilities including HCS (house sewer connections) with potential for conflict with this work will be mandatory prior to any drill penetration below the surface. Included in the scope of work are three (3) locations along N. Mountain Stone Pine Way, including the intersection with N. Douglas Fir Dr. Questions can be addressed to Rudy Torres at rtorres@maranaaz.gov or (520) 382-1983. Issues with the function of the Public Purchase website are best directed to Public Purchase through the "Chat" tab in the left hand side of the tool bar SCOPE OF WORK Included in the scope of work are three (3) locations along N. Mountain Stone Pine Way, including the intersection with N. Douglas Fir Dr. Work at the westernmost section includes performance of deep polyurethane structural foam injections on a 4' staggered horizontal grid pattern, at an average 10' vertical injection depth with injection tubes providing foam injection on a 15" staggered or non-staggered vertical pattern across 8,120 square feet. Concrete curb and sidewalk will not need to be drilled through, but rather injection tubes may be inserted within 6" of curb and sidewalk in this area. Planned injection depths are expected to range from 5' to 12.5'. Area for volume determination of measurement will be taken along the perimeter tubes and depth based on the actual subsurface penetration or refusal depth along the average end area of the proximal tube grid. All tubes must be cut flush and/or countersunk and permanently patched with an approved cementitious product. The existing asphalt pavement, curb and sidewalk in this area is to remain. Potholing of existing underground waterline and other utilities including HCS's (house sewer connections) with potential for conflict with this work will be mandatory prior to any drill penetration below the surface. There is a Force Account bid schedule item for potholing. Potholes shall be backfilled with aggregate base course material, and those within the roadway surface permanently patched with minimum 3" thickness of hot mix asphalt (mix #2). The costs of completing the pothole patches shall be included with the contractor's unit cost per hole. There are two other areas along N. Mountain Stone Pine Way, including the intersection at N. Douglas Fir Drive, that will have existing asphalt pavement, curb, sidewalk, driveway panels and curb access ramp removed, re-graded with ABC and replaced to restore positive surface drainage. These areas have been previously stabilized with polyurethane injections, and existing injection tubes are expected to be encountered during demolition and grading operations. The cutting, removal and disposal of injection tubes is considered incidental to the work. All areas replaced with new asphalt are to be 3" in thickness. Several sanitary sewer manholes and potable water valves will need to be adjusted to new pavement grade. Two survey monuments will need to be removed and replaced, and there is a component that requires the excavation and repair of an existing 4" dia. HCS (house connection sewer) in the right of way below existing sidewalk, which will be replaced.
