**As of November 19, 2021, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $535,278.28** The project limits include: the entire lengths of Munn Avenue; Cottage Place; and, a portion of Post Lane starting at the intersection of Newark-Pompton Turnpike and continuing approximately 830 LF west. The project length is approximately 2,940 linear feet (0.57 miles). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: resetting existing manholes; replacement of storm inlets, manholes and castings; installation of new storm inlets; replacement of storm drain pipes; removal of existing curbs and installation of new granite block curbs; removal of existing sidewalks and driveway aprons, and installation of new Portland cement concrete sidewalks and driveway aprons; asphalt milling and road resurfacing; replacement of traffic control signs and, traffic striping. The main items of construction and approximate quantities include, but are not necessarily limited to: 10,000 square yards of asphalt milling; 1,300 tons of hot mixed asphalt surface course, two (2") inches thick, mix 9.5 M64; installation of nine (9) precast concrete storm inlets including new castings; replacement of 250 linear feet of various piping; 4,600 linear feet of granite block curbs; 1,600 square yards of four (4') wide Portland cement concrete sidewalks, four (4") inches thick; 640 square yards of reinforced, six (6") thick Portland cement concrete driveway aprons and ADA landings; and, installation of nine (9) square yards of cast-iron ADA detectable warning surfaces. If the Contract is awarded, no refunds will be given. If for any reason the Contract is not awarded, refunds will immediately be returned to bidders pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24(b) when the Contract documents are returned in reasonable condition within 90 days of notice that the Contract has not been awarded. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, deviations or omissions in any or all bids, and to accept such bids and make awards as may be most advantageous to the Borough. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Guarantee in an amount of the lesser of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price or Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), in the form of a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Borough or a Bid Bond issued by a Surety authorized to transact business in New Jersey and found acceptable by the Borough. Each bid must also be accompanied by the consent of a similarly acceptable Surety, guaranteeing a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Material Payment Bond will be furnished upon award of the Contract. Bidders are required to comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and the Affirmative Action Requirements of N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidders are also required to comply with Chapter 150 of P.L. 1963 and the prevailing wage regulations promulgated thereunder. Simultaneously to bid submission, a Bidder must submit a Corporate Ownership Disclosure Statement in accordance with c.33, P.L. 1977. Failure to submit a Corporate Ownership Disclosure Statement with the bid shall result in the rejection of the bid pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2. Each Bidder must also complete the Non-Collusion Affidavit contained in the Bid package.
