The work to be done in general consists of mobilization, traffic control, and to furnish all labor materials, equipment and services required to replace existing streetlight fixtures with new LED fixtures, and all other work as specified in these Special Provisions. The Contractorshall possess and maintain all applicable licensesrequired to perform the work under this contract, including a Class "C-10" Electrical license. The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code and with applicable City regulations. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, will be valued by the City's Finance Director, whose decision on valuation of the securities will be final. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope entitled "PJ 2566 - Arterial/Collector LED Streetlight Retrofit". Bids shall be dropped off using the mail slot at the entrance to Wing A. ALL BIDS SHALL BE PRESENTED UNDER SEALED COVER AND SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY CASH, CASHIER'S OR CERTIFIED CHECK OR A BIDDER'S BOND EXECUTED BY A CORPORATE SURETY INSURER. THE BIDDER'S GUARANTEE SHALL BE IN AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO AT LEAST TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE AMOUNT BID AND MADE PAYABLE TO THE CITY OF CONCORD.
