The approximate quantities of work to be bid upon are described as follows: 1 LS Mobilization/Demobilization, 1 LS Portable Generator, 1 LS Erosion and Sediment Controls, 4 EA Type B Manhole Rehabilitation (0 to 6'), 16 VF Type B Manhole Rehabilitation (Greater than 6'), 1 EA Type D Manhole Rehabilitation,1,600 LF Restoration of Disturbed Area, 110 LF Concrete Roadway/Driveway Repair, 900 LF WVDOH Type "B" Trench Repair, 110 LF WVDOH Type "C" Trench Repair, 220 LF Full Width Roadway Crushed Stone Repair, 5,000 LF Videotape Existing 8" Sanitary Sewer Line, 330 LF Videotape Existing 8" Storm Sewer, 220 LF Videotape Existing 24" Storm Sewer, 5,000 LF Clean Existing 8" Sanitary Sewer Line, 330 LF Clean Existing 8" Storm Sewer, 220 LF Clean Existing 24" Storm Sewer, 2,100 LF Remove Existing Service Lateral and Replace with New 4" ASTM D3034 SDR 35 PVC Gravity Sanitary Sewer Lateral (0 - 6' Depth), 140 LF Remove Existing Gravity Sewer Line and Replace with New 8" ASTM D3034 SDR 35 PVC Gravity Sanitary Sewer (0 - 6' Depth), 500 LF Remove Existing Gravity Sewer Line and Replace with New 8" ASTM D3034 SDR 35 PVC Gravity Sanitary Sewer (0 - 6' Depth) at Locations Identified in Cleaning and Videoing by Contractor, 1 LS Upgrades to the Kwik Stop Grinder Station, 1 LS Upgrades to the East End Grinder Station, 1 LS Upgrades to the WVDOH Grinder Station, 1 LS Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades, 64 EA Lateral Connection at Wye/Bend and/or Customer Side, 32 EA Lateral Cleanout, 1 EA Remove Utility Pole and Place Along Right-of-Way, 8 EA Connection to Existing 8" PVC Sewer Line, 2 EA Remove Drain Inlet Lid for Inspection, 10 EA Cut and Cap Unused Lateral, 4 EA Cap Cleanout, 110 LF Concrete Sidewalk Repair, 12 EA Test Pit to Locate Existing Lateral, ALLOWANCE for Correcting Drain Inlets to Remove Inflow. The Work will be substantially completed within 150 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 180 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000.00 /day. Holders of Bidding Documents in this format will be notified via email when any Addenda are available for download. A two-envelope system will be used. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder Bid on - WWTP Upgrades and Sanitary Sewer Collection System Improvements Received by Town of Albright Envelope No. 2 labeled "Bid Proposal" shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR - 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal", will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 "Bid Proposal" will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Town of Albright, for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid. Bidders must hold a current West Virginia contractor's license on the date of Bid Opening. Town of Albright reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. Questions will be received by the Engineer until Noon on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
