This project consisting of remove on-street parking, construct concrete improvements (includes curb and gutter, sidewalk and curb ramps), installing landscape system (includes planting, irrigation system, and site furnishing), reconstruct driveways, and install new decorative (street and pedestrian) lighting, construct storm drain improvements, perform profile grind and overlay, Type II slurry seal, install signing and striping in existing right-of-way, and all other work necessary to complete this project, according to plans and specifications prepared by the City of Sunnyvale and according to the contract documents. Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount and conforming to the prescribed bidding procedures is required to be submitted with each bid. Liquidated Damages. Time shall be the essence of this Contract. If Contractor fails to complete, within the time fixed for such completion, the entire work mentioned and described and contracted to be done and performed, Contractor shall become liable to Owner for liquidated damages in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), for every calendar day during which work shall remain uncompleted beyond such time fixed for completion or any lawful extension thereof.
