The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission hereby requests Proposals from engineering firms for preliminary design, design, bid, construction administration, inspection, testing and related professional services necessary for certain improvements necessary to replace the Runway 16- 34 Engineered Material Arresting System (EMAS) at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport. All Proposers shall endeavor to afford Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's) a reasonable opportunity to participate in this project. The Commission's overall goal for DBE participation is 7.0% In addition, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this solicitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities, or irregularities in a Proposal, or to reject any and all Proposals, or to re-advertise for Proposals and to award or refrain from awarding the Contract for the services specified. The Roanoke Regional Airport Commission, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all Proposers, that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
