The Town of Centreville is accepting sealed bids from qualified and interested bidders for the following project: The Weedon Street complete reconstruction project generally consists of scarification/milling and removal of existing roadway surface, full depth removal of existing curb, gutter and sidewalk, removal of existing cast iron sewer, providing new 8" sanitary sewer main with manhole and clean-out and new 6" water main with new sewer and water house connections, fire hydrant and connection to new main, new curb and gutter and ADA compliant sidewalk and driveway ramp. The Town of Centreville reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, to waive any requirements and to accept all or part of any proposal considered to be in the best interest of the Town. Coordinate with local utility companies. D. Work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If any night work is needed, this will require permission from the Town. E. Sequence of construction is as follows: Submit Maintenance of Traffic plan meeting MSHA requirements to Town of Centreville and MSHA for approval. Contact and coordinate with Miss Utility for location of underground utilities no later than two (2) weeks prior to construction. Schedule and conduct preconstruction meeting with the Town of Centreville and its inspectors, MSHA, MDE etc. to ensure appropriate permits and scheduling are in place. Commence construction with utility work in Weedon Street (maintain traffic with minimum lane constrictions) and test utilities to Town of Centreville specifications prior to refill. Refill and compact to subgrade. After subgrade compaction testing, provide bituminous concrete surface as specified. The desired grades and flowline patterns for final paving other than that provided in the typical street section will be provided by the Director of Public Works. F. All work shall be performed in compliance with in accordance with The Town of Centreville Standards and Specifications, and MSHA Annual and Master permit.
