Work shall consist of, but not be limited to, the replacement of all mechanical and electrical facilities for Pump Station #3. The existing wet well (6'0 manhole) shall be lined. Bypass pumping will be required. This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442, approved August 15, 1961 and subsequent amendments. Wage rates are included in the Contract Documents. A bid bond or certified check made payable to Stewartstown Borough Authority in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany the sealed bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Authority reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to accept or reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities. No bidder may withdraw their bid for sixty (60) days after closing time for receipt of bids. Bidders should refer to Federal and State statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of public and natural resources pursuant to PA Act No. 1972- 247.
