For Flood Control Project on 1st Avenue From Roosevelt Road to Cermak Road Tenders are invited for the work consisting of the construction of approximately 13,000 linear feet of storm sewer along 1 st Avenue and the 1 st Avenue Cutoff, a new sewer outfall structure at the Des Plaines River, bioswales behind the east side of 1 st Avenue within the Forest Preserve District of Cook County easement, erosion control and landscaping, and pavement restoration as shown on the Drawings plus all related work as defined in these documents. The site of construction is located along both sides of 1 st Avenue and north side of the 1 st Avenue Cutoff, between Cermak Road and Roosevelt Road, Maywood, County of Cook, State of Illinois. Estimated Cost: Between $5,952,358 and $7,205,486 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Failure on the part of the prospective bidder to receive a written interpretation prior to the time of the opening of bids will not be grounds for withdrawal of proposal. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond in the amount of $288,220.00 (two hundred and eighty-eight thousand, two hundred twenty dollars). Each bid bond must be underwritten by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, listed in the latest copy of the Federal Register and approved by the Director of Procurement and Materials Management. The bid bond must contain signatures from the Bidder and Surety Company. Failure to provide signatures on the bid bond will result in the rejection of the bid. Photographic and/or stamped signatures are acceptable. Any proposal submitted without being accompanied by the required bid deposit, in the aforesaid form, will not be considered and will not be read after it is publicly opened. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals.
