**As of August 17, 2021, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $244,522.14** Proposals must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and the name of the Work on the outside; addressed to Mayor and Council, Township of Clark; and must be accompanied by a statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township; and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of Township of Clark for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check need not exceed $20,000.00. The Township reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective Bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before awarding the Contract. A Valid Business Registration issued by the State of New Jersey is to be provided prior to the Award of Contract. The Business Registration Certificate must be obtained by the Bidder prior to the receipt of Bids; however, a Business Registration Certificate is not required in the submission of the Proposal Forms for this Contract. Proposals for this Contract will be accepted only from Bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the following: A. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. B. The Affirmative Action requirement of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 C. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964. D. All Bidders are required to comply with the Regulations of P.L. 1999, c.238, The Public Works Contractor Registration Act when dealing with repair, maintenance or improvements to a public building. All Bids shall be binding upon the Bidder for a period of 60 days subsequent to the opening of Bids. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Township. All Work stipulated in this Contract shall be completed within 75 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed and as described in the General Conditions.
