QA Expiration Date has changed from nothing to 7/12/2021 11:59:00 PM CST This project is located at the Tawakoni Water Treatment Plant, Co Rd 329, Terrell, TX 75161. The Project consists of improvements to various facilities, generally inclusive of: hydrochloric acid chemical storage and transfer equipment and piping, sodium chlorite chemical storage and transfer equipment and piping, sodium hypochlorite chemical transfer equipment and piping. Lime mixing system, ozone chilled cooling water system conversion, sedimentation basins and ozone contactors miscellaneous repair of existing structures, site civil miscellaneous piping and chemical trench improvements, intermediate pump station electrical redundancy improvements, lake tawakoni raw water pump station back up power generation equipment and flow meter vault construction, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) instrumentation and programming commensurate with other improvements. All questions must be submitted in writing July 5, 2021. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner within fifteen (15) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to North Texas Municipal Water District in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents. Performance and Payment Bonds are required, each in an amount of not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract and upon payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials. This project is to be substantially complete and ready for operation within 405 consecutive calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed. Final Completion of the project shall be achieved within 60 of the Substantial Completion date. Liquidated damages are set forth in the Agreement. The North Texas Municipal Water Districtreserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days from date on which bids are opened
