From general contractors for the Island Street Public Infrastructure Improvements on Island Street located near 20-30 Island Street The scope of work includes the following items: Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement, Cement Concrete Sidewalk, Granite Curbing, Drainage, Landscaping, Lighting, Traffc Signage, Pavement Markings, and other related work. A bid bond in the form of a certifed or cashier's check payable to the City of Lawrence of no less than 5% of the bid amount must accompany each bid. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30 and M.G.L. c. 149, Sec. 26-27, as well as to federal Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements. Bids are subject to complying with the Woman and Minority Owned Business percentage requirements identifed in the bidding documents. Bidders shall appear on the list of prequalifed contractors provided by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The City may require the bidder to provide evidence on working on a minimum of three (3) projects of similar or greater scope of work than the Island Street Public Infrastructure Improvements Project. Bidder to furnish certifcation documents for all employees to be employed in the project subject to this bid showing that they have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration that is at least (10) hours in duration. OSHA certifcates must be submitted prior to the City issuing the Notice to Proceed.
