GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall demolish, remove, and dispose of debris of a commercial building located at 3 South Main Street, Stewartstown, PA 17363 in a manner and with equipment in accordance with these specifications and the requirements ofall applicable federal and state laws, and in accordance with all applicable ordinances, laws and regulations of Stewartstown Borough, York County, and Pennsylvania All bids must be plainly marked "BID FOR DEMOLITION OF COMMERCIAL BUILDING FOR STEWARTSTOWN BOROUGH" on the outside of the envelope and delivered to the attention of Stacy Myers.The work for which the bids are being solicited is the demolition of a commercial building located at 3 South Main Street, Stewartstown, PA 17363 and removal of demolition debris to appropriate disposal sites. Specifications provide for bidders to be responsible, established, and known to be experienced and regularly engaged in the work of demolition, particularly demolition of commercial buildings that may contain asbestos and removal of demolition debris to appropriate disposal sites. Satisfactory evidence that the bidder has the necessary capital, equipment and personnel to do the work may be required. All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, bank money order or bid bond with corporate surety payable to the Borough of Stewartstown. and each with satisfactory corporate surety within ten (10) days after the award has been made by the Stewartstown Borough Council. Stewartstown Borough Council reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities and the right to reject any and all bids. No Contractor may withdraw its bid for a period of Sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
