This solicitation is for construction of a 5-foot-wide sidewalk along the west side of Peters Avenue from Collee Court to just south of Tamiami Trail East. Funding for this project is provided by the Collier County Division of Community and Human Services and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. Federal Regulations during construction will be enforced, including Davis Bacon and Related Acts for wage rates. It is the policy of Collier County to provide Equal Employment Opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment in accordance with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action laws, directives and regulations of Federal, and State agencies. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C.1701u (section.) An award shall be based on the lowest responsive bid offer with preference given to qualified Section 3 Business Concerns in accordance with Collier County's Purchasing Department's "right to match" guidelines. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of this project shall apply to the project throughout. Solicitation # 21-7906 Peters Avenue Sidewalk Project Grant Funded complies with the Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. 3600, ET seq) and County Fair Housing Ordinance 92-9. Minority, female-owned and small businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. Licensed Contractors are encouraged to solicit bids from minority and femaleowned subcontractors, efforts for such should be documented. The Vendor agrees, if this solicitation submittal is accepted, to execute a Collier County document for the purpose of establishing a formal contractual relationship between the firm and Collier County, for the performance of all requirements to which the solicitation pertains. The Vendor states that the submitted is based upon the documents listed by the above referenced Solicitation. Further, the vendor agrees that if awarded a contract for these goods and/or services, the vendor will not be eligible to compete, submit a proposal, be awarded, or perform as a subvendor for any future associated with work that is a result of this awarded contract. Collier County shall procure and maintain Builders Risk Insurance on all construction projects where it is deemed necessary. Such coverage shall be endorsed to cover the interests of Collier County as well as the Contractor. Premiums shall be billed to the project and the Contractor shall not include Builders Risk premiums in its project proposal or project billings. All questions regarding Builder's Risk Insurance will be addressed by the Collier County Risk Management Division.
