QUESTIONS regarding the Project Plans or Specifications, bid process, and contractual issues may be directed to Harry Yip, Senior Civil Engineer, at (650) 616-7052. Engineer's Estimate is $2,600,000.00 - 2,800,000.00 The work includes, but is not limited to: demolishing existing concrete and asphalt, installing new storm drain pipe and structures, constructing new curb and gutter, medians, curb ramps, sidewalk, bus islands and bus pads, median concrete, new pavement structural section, slurry seal, HAWK system, new luminaires, new light fixtures, pavement delineation, and roadside signs. All work items shall be constructed in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. Bidding Documents contain the full description of the Work. Regarding the Project Plans or Specifications, bid process, and contractual issues may be directed to Harry Yip, Senior Civil Engineer, at (650) 616-7052. At the end of each workday all loose material, parts and debris must be cleaned up and discarded and any stored materials shall be neatly stacked and organized. Failure to comply with these requirements shall result in liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per Calendar Day. All work under this contract shall be completed within 95 Working days from the Notice to Proceed effective date. The City shall assess liquidated damages in the amount of $4,800 per Working day for delays in completion of the project, as provided in the Contract Documents. The City specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects or minor irregularitiesin the bids not involving time, price or quality of the work. Bidders are advised that, as required by federal law, the City is implementing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal percentage of 21% has been established for this project Cash, cashier's check or certified check, payable to the order of the City of San Bruno, of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, or a bond in said amount payable to the City of San Bruno and signed by the Bidder and a corporate surety shall accompany the bid. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
