**As of August 3, 2023, project was awarded to Waterways Consulting Inc, but awarded amount is not available.** The purpose of this project is to restore Mission Creek in Oak Park. Restoration could include non-native weed removal and re-vegetation with native plants, removal of steelhead passage barriers, biotechnical stabilization of eroding banks, removal of concrete from the creek channel, and improvement of trails and interpretive information. The Project is located at Oak Park in the City of Santa Barbara, and is described as follows: The Mission Creek at Oak Park Restoration Project will consist of removal of historical flood control structures, grading/profiling of the steam bed and natural bench areas, placement of engineered streambed materials, eucalyptus tree removal, utility relocation, and restoration planting of riparian habitat. The overall goal of this project is to enhance riparian habitat and water quality. Time for Final Completion. The Project must be fully completed within 40 working days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about September 2023, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. Estimated Cost. The estimated construction cost is $571,084 License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): A General Engineering Contractor, C-10 Electrical Contractor, D-49 Tree Service Contractor.
