Demolition and disposal of the existing liquid lime storage tank and liquid lime chemical feed structure. - Furnishing and installation of two 7,000 gallon sodium hydroxide storage tanks on an existing concrete pad, a day tank, transfer pump, and chemical metering pump skid in the existing chemical feed building. Prospective bidders must be listed in the Drexel Technologies, Inc. Planroom as a Plan Holder to validate bidder receipt of all applicable documents pertinent to the project. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond no less than 5% of the amount of the bid made payable to the City of Lawrence, retained by the City Commission until a contract for the project shall have been awarded. Checks will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders when their bids are rejected The City Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities. All questions and clarifications regarding this bid should be submitted only via email and directed to the City's purchasing department at purchasing@lawrenceks.org. The bid number shall be referenced in the email subject line. The questions deadline is Wednesday September 25, at 5:00 PM Central Time Zone. All questions will receive an official written response from the City and will become addenda to this Bid.
