City of Sevierville Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the McCroskey Island WWTP Improvements. The Project consists of construction of improvements to the McCroskey Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to replace aging equipment and to provide treatment flexibility. The Work includes, but is not limited to, replacing a grit classifier and grease auger at the Headworks, installing a new Vacuum Truck Dewatering Station, replacing two Circular Sludge Thickeners, and sludge pumps, installing new pumps, VFDs, and piping at the Davis Lane Pump Station, providing architectural and HVAC improvements to the existing Laboratory Building and all other work as indicated on the Drawings or specified. The work will be awarded in one Contract. The allotted time for construction is 270 calendar days. All questions shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder in the preparation of its Bid in response to this Invitation to Bid. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 calendar days after the scheduled time for receipts of bids. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The Bid deposit shall be retained by the City of Sevierville if the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract or fails to provide the required Bonds, as stated above, within ten (10) days after award of the Contract.
