Proposals for interior and exterior water storage tank (Aquastore glass-coated, bolted-steel water storage tank, 20' diameter x 98' tall, originally installed in 1987) improvements . Work shall consist of, but not be limited to: cleaning the tank; inspecting the tank and making repairs; resealing tank panel seams; installing anode rods, and installing protective bolt caps with sealer. The water storage tank is located adjacent to the Stewartstown Elementary School in Stewartstown Borough. The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442 as amended. Wage rates are included in the contract documents. All bidders shall be required to furnish a Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. Upon the acceptance of the proposal by the Authority, the successful bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount to the Authority. The Authority reserves the right, which is agreed and understood by all bidders, to accept or reject any or all bids and waive irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn by the bidder for sixty (60) days after closing time for receipt of bids.
