2021-038 24300265 (PWP CC-2024-029) The Fleet Tire & Welding Shop Project - is a Federally Funded project. This project will consist of an expansion of the existing fleet facility located at the public works corporate yard. The expansion will match the existing fleet building and will add approximately 2,111 additional square feet which will be used for tire and welding operations. The project may also include a Alternate Bid Item for demolition of the existing tire shop located near the fleet facility. Project #P302521001 PWP# CC-2024-029 Engineers Estimate: $1,300,000.00 Vertical Question Cuttoff Date & Time 10/24/2023 02:00:00 PM (ET) Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a Cashier's check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond acceptable to Carson City in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Bidder's "Base Bid" Proposal. Said Bid Security shall be payable without condition to Carson City as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute such Contract in accordance with the Bid Proposal and, in the manner and form required by the Bid Document, and will furnish the required PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT bonds. (Refer to Documents # 2151 and 2152). Should the Bidder refuse to enter into such Contract or fail to furnish such bonds, the amount of the Bid Security may be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages, not as penalty. All checks must indicate the Payee as "Carson City, Nevada" and reflect the Bid Title and Number. Failure to enclose a Bid guarantee with the sealed Bid will cause the Bid to be rejected and not considered. Surety companies issuing bonds must be licensed to issue surety by the State of Nevada Insurance Division pursuant to NRS 683A.090 and issued by an appointed agent pursuant to NRS 683A.280. Bonds issued by an individual surety are not acceptable to the City. The City will have the right to hold the Bid Security of Bidders to whom an award is being considered until either: (a) the Contract has been executed and bonds have been furnished, (b) the specified time has elapsed so that Bids may be withdrawn, or (c) all Bids have been rejected.
