Pavement Milling Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course Removed Asphalt Concrete Tack Coat @0.10 GAL./S.Y. Asphalt Concrete, Surface Course, Type 1, PG 64-22 (448) A minimum of 1.5" as specified below of pavement milling, in accordance with ODOT item 254, shall be applied to the entire street surface as appropriate. In addition, wearing courses removed as needed. A milled butt joint will be required at all asphalt/concrete driveways, street intersections, bridge abutments, and railroad crossings with an AC strip at all butt joints, plus appropriate approach tapers and radii apply where applicable. Total Estimated Cost: $198,959.00 Completion Date: August 31, 2021 Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the City of Kenton, or by certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the City of Kenton. Bid bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packet particularly to the various prevailing wage rates, equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a bid guaranty and a performance bond for 100% of the contract price. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than August 31, 2021. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The City of Kenton reserves the right to waive any or all informalities and/or to reject any or all bids. Selection of bids will be based on lowest and/or best bid.
