The scope of work involves the resurfacing of Bellmore Avenue in Bellmore to extend its service life and provide smooth ridership and comfort to motorists. The roadway will be widened in order to provide on-street parking on both sides of the road. Project limits are from Merrick Road to Sunrise Highway. Concrete valley gutters will be installed where necessary in order to eliminate ponding. Streetscape will also include, but not limited to, the installation of decorative street lighting, trash receptacles, as well as the installation of concrete curb & gutter, sidewalks, colored & imprinted concrete utility strips, landscaping and ADA compliant ramps and driveway aprons within the project limits, and within Nassau Countys jurisdiction, utility relocations and coordination and other pedestrian and traffic safety measures. Questions must be submitted no later than 4:45 P.M. on Monday, March 29, 2021. All questions should be directed to Daniel Wong at dwong@nassaucountyny.gov. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Failure to Provide the Required Security Will Render the Bidder Non-responsive and the Bid Will Not Be Accepted, Opened or Read Aloud. In Addition, if the Bid Requires Submission of Subcontractor Information, Failure to Provide the Required Information at the Time of Bid Opening May Render the Bidder Non-responsive.
