The Contract consists of these units: 8-inch sanitary sewer (3,600 lineal feet), 8-inch water main (3,700 lineal feet), 12-inch to 30-inch storm sewer (400 lineal feet), 24" concrete curb & gutter (6,500 lineal feet), concrete flatwork (25,000 square feet), and street reconstruction (3,700 lineal feet). The quantities and the main sizes are subject to change without notice prior to document distribution. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the City of Tomah within the last year or must be pre-qualified for this work 5 days prior to the bid deadline in accordance with Section 66.0903 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. Bidders must be experienced in municipal pipeline construction. The City of Tomah reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. Summary of the Work; Special Conditions located at the beginning of the Technical Specifications, modifies or supplements the Bidding Documents, the General Conditions, or the standard specification sections which make up the remainder of the Technical Specifications, and defines what work is included under each item in the Bid Proposal. This section should be read with care. The sites of the work should also be carefully inspected. Each of the standard specification sections of the Technical Specifications is divided into three parts: General, summarizing the work covered by that section, Material & Equipment, where applicable, which provides the specifications for the materials which go into the construction, and Construction, where applicable, which sets forth construction and testing procedures to which the Contractor must adhere.
