**As of May 4,2021 This project has been awarded fpor the amount of $217,300.59.Start date and completion date has not yet been established.** Project consists of repaving four Borough Streets (ARROWHEAD, LEAMAN, NORTH STREET, and E. NEW) totaling approx.. 9,147 sq. yds. This project will also include removal and replacement of marked concrete curbs and replacing per Boro specs. All proposals (bids) are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The Borough reserves the right to waive any minor informalities, irregularities or defects in the bid; or to reject any or all of the bids. All Bidders are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with 67 PA Code Chapter 457, Regulations Governing Pre-qualification of Prospective Bidders and PennDOT Form 408/2016, as supplemented and amended, Section 102. Subcontractors must pre-qualify in the same manner, if listed in the proposal or if Bidder subsequently undertakes the partial or total construction of one or more items of work. All Bidders and Subcontractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified. All questions must be submitted through online. The Borough has determined that this work is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Contractor shall pay at least the wage rates as determined in the decision of the Secretary of Labor and Industry and shall comply with the conditions of the act approved August 15, 1961, and the regulations issued thereto, to assure the full and proper payment of the rates. Work to be completed on or before 8/27/2021 . After 8/28/2021 Liquidated damages apply at 825.00 per calendar day. No work shall be performed on July 3rd or July 4th. Work shall be performed between 7 AM and 4 PM, unless other wised authorized by the Borough. Work is not to start before 6/7/2021 or at the discretion of the Borough Payment and Performance bonds are provided only by the successful bidder. Contracts from $4,000.00 up to $5,000.00 in Second Class Townships - performance bond must be not less than 10% or greater than 100% of amount of contract. Contracts greater than $1,500.00 up to $10,000.00 in First Class Townships, Boroughs and Third Class Cities-bonds must be between 50 % to 100% of the contract amount. Contracts in excess of $5,000.00 in Second Class Townships and in excess of $10,000.00 in First Class Townships, Boroughs and Third Class Cities-bonds must be in 100% of the amount of the contract.
