All questions must be received by 4:30 p.m., February 15, 2021. Any revisions to the RFP will be made only addendum issued by Northumberland County Public Schools. Northumberland County Public Schools is seeking a contractor to design and manage a new standing seam roof system to replace the existing shingle roof on the pitched areas of Northumberland County Elementary School. Northumberland County Public Schools is also seeking the replacement of the rubber flat roof system that is incorporated in the same facility.The Northumberland County Public School Division is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to complete a roof replacement at Northumberland Elementary School, 757 Academic Lane, Heathsville, Virginia 22473. Any proposals received after the specified time will be rejected. The School Board is not responsible for delays in the delivery of mail by the U.S. Postal Service or private couriers. It has been the experience of the School Board that private couriers do not make special morning deliveries in Northumberland County. It is the sole responsibility of the Offeror to ensure that its proposal reaches the School Board Office by the designated date and hour. Proposals will not be accepted over the facsimile machine. Proposals received in response to this RFP will be opened at the time and place stated and will be made public only as provided by the Virginia Public Procurement Act and the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. The Board reserves the right to require payment and/or performance bonds in the amount of the Obligations for any other projects, goods or services, whether or not required by such sections of the Virginia Code or policy.
