Contractor Qualification Highway Division 1. The project consists of the full depth reconstruction of lower Ashfield Street from north of the railroad tracks to the intersection of Clement Street. Approximately 500 feet in total length, including water, drain, and utilities improvements, concrete sidewalk, removal and rebuilding and construction of stone masonry walls, vertical granite curb construction, loam and seeding, pavement and subbase excavation, gravel backfill and paving of the existing street. 2. Furnishing and installing by boring and jacking methods a steel sleeve casing pipe consisting of approximately 80 linear feet of 36" steel sleeve and 12" HDPE DR9 water pipe and casing spacers underneath the railroad tracks. 3. Replacement by open cut methods of the water system consisting of approximately 555 linear feet of 12" Ductile Iron water main pipe, cutting in two 12"x12" Tees to existing water mains, a fire hydrant assembly, appurtenances and 1" Copper services to the property line. 4. Replacement by open cut methods of approximately 30 linear feet of 12" PVC sewer main pipe, a Precast sewer manhole, and 4" PVC services to the property line. 5. Removal and replacement of approximately 970 linear feet of concrete sidewalk and bituminous curb of Upper Ashfield Street, from School Street to Spring Street and a portion of the Ashfield Street/Green Street Intersection, with monolithic concrete sidewalk and curb, removal and resetting of Granite Curbing, wheelchair ramps, driveway aprons, sawcutting existing roadway, HMA patching. 6. Removal and replacement of approximately 260 linear feet of Bituminous Concrete walk on State Street with 5 foot wide, flush with pavement Concrete Sidewalk. 7. Removal and reset of granite curb, reconstruction of concrete sidewalk, sawcutting pavement and HMA patching to construct a wheelchair ramp at #17 State Street. 8. Removal of existing wheelchair ramp at the intersection of Clement Street and State Street, construction of a new ADA compliant concrete wheelchair ramp, reconstruction of stone masonry wall, removal and resetting of curb, sawcutting pavement and HMA patch.
