**As of July 3, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. MNPS is seeking a qualified Contractor for the provision of construction services for the replacement of Lakeview Elementary School. Construct shall consist of a new 115,000 sf elementary school at 455 Rural Hill Road and all associated site work, utilities, paving and landscaping. Construction shall be phased such that the existing school will remain in use until the new building can be occupied, at which time, the new structure shall be occupied throughout the remainder of the project. The existing school shall be demolished. All phases shall be coordinated with the Owner. Site accommodations required to provide temporary safe egress paths to accommodate the safe function of the school shall be included in the project. Provided Drawings and Specs are not Issue for Bid so updated/fully complete versions will be provided on or before round 2. Dates: Phase 1 Substantial Completion: 12/1/2024 Phase 2 Substantial Completion: 6/1/2024 Phase 3 Substantial Completion: 7/31/2024 Final Completion: 10/1/2024 Bid/proposal security in the form of a Bid Bond executed by the Offeror and a Surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee, or certified check made payable to the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools in an amount equal to 5% of the bid/proposal will be required. No Offeror may withdraw their bid/proposal response within 120 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bid/proposal security will be returned to all Offerors upon award of the contract or rejection of the bids/proposals. A Payment and Performance Bond is required for a contract award exceeding $100,000. The awarded firm shall submit a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond as a condition precedent to a contract or purchase order. Documentation of bonds shall be in a format acceptable to MNPS. Any response to this solicitation is a formal waiver of any claims of confidentiality regardless of what may be stated, printed, or implied in the submission and/or attachments submitted. Offerors must clearly understand that the only official answer or position of MNPS will be the one stated in writing by MNPS Procurement staff. MNPS reserves the right to issue additional rounds, to all potential Offerors and/or shortlisted Offerors, as it deems necessary for the purposes of evaluation. Additional rounds may include, but not be limited to, Offeror interviews. MNPS reserves the right to negotiate all contract terms and conditions with the most qualified firm(s) to provide the requested service. If a mutually beneficial agreement with the highest ranked firm is not reached, MNPS reserves the right to enter into contract negotiations with the next highest ranked firm or reissue the sourcing request. The Contractor shall furnish separate performance and payment bonds to MNPS in the format provided by MNPS. Each bond shall set forth a penal sum in an amount not less than the Contract Project Price
