The project consists of the South Sidewalk Expansion on Oxford Road (Route 67) in the Town of Oxford. The proposed project includes construction of sidewalk and landscaping, which includes decorative light poles, benches and associated minor grading along the southern side of CT Rt 67. The proposed asphalt sidewalk is 2,100 LF in total length, 10 FT wide and starts at the Oxford Town Hall and terminates at the intersection of CT RT 67 and Dutton Road. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Project bid cost. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. The Work shall be substantially completed within 180 calendar days after the commencement of contract times under Article 2.03 of the General Conditions. The Work shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Article 14.07 of the General Conditions within 210 calendar days after the commencement of contract times. Provisions for liquidated damages are set forth in the Agreement. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award any items, group of items or total bid, and to waive any informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Oxford.
