**As of November 1, 2021, the project was awarded Bid amount received $230,00.02. The general project scope includes installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) and other crossing improvements at the following three locations: 1) Existing mid-block crossing on Merganser Drive between Sunset Avenue and Wigeon Way. 2) Pintail Drive at Scoter Way. 3) Lawler Ranch Parkway between Fennie Way and Hillborn Way (proposed new pedestrian crossing at walkway to a park). Project scope also include, but is not limited to the following: o Locations #1 and #2: Replace the existing in-roadway lighted crosswalk systems with rectangular rapid flashing beacons; replace the crosswalk with a high visibility crosswalk; and install pavement markings and roadway signs. o Location #3: Install high visibility crosswalk, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, sidewalk, pavement markings and striping, roadway signs, curb ramps, and concrete curb extension; remove tree; and replace sidewalk. Engineer's Estimate: $200,000.00 The scope of work of this section includes, but is not limited to, the following: trimming existing trees, removal of existing highway facilities, adjusting existing survey monuments, water valves, manholes and interconnect and monitoring well covers to grade, and protecting existing highway facilities. This work shall consist of removal of pavement markings or striping identified on the plans to be removed, Disposal of excess materials shall be performed in accordance with the requirements specified in these specifications. The Contractor shall remove all obstructions as shown in the Plans and items which are designed to be removed shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be disposed of as required in these special provisions. Items that are designated to be salvaged shall be returned to the City of Suisun City as directed by the Engineer unless to be reused within the project at which time the item shall be stored at the contractor's laydown area. The cost of removing these obstructions shall be included in the various items included in this section when there is no specific bid item for their removal. The Contractor's attention is directed to Section 5-1.36 "Property and Facility Preservation" of these special provisions. Building, fences, walls, and any other features which are not designated to be removed shall be protected in place. Any existing improvements, drainage facilities, sanitary sewage facilities, water facilities, traffic signal facilities, landscaped areas, etc., damaged as a result of the Contractor's construction activities shall be replaced by the Contractor at no cost to the City entirely at his or her expense as directed by the Engineer. PRE-CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE: Prior to the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, a pre-construction conference will be held at the Suisun City Hall for the purpose of discussing with the Contractor the scope of work, contract drawings, specifications, existing conditions, signs and traffic control, materials to be ordered, equipment to be used, and all essential matters pertaining to the prosecution of and the satisfactory completion of the project as required. The Contractor's representative at this conference shall include all major superintendents for the work and may include major subcontractors
