The Board of County Commissioners of Wayne County, Ohio, will accept sealed bid proposals for an aggregate bid from General Contracting Firms to provide General Construction Work, Plumbing, H.V.A.C. and Electrical Work. This project must be completed by Friday, January 29, 2021. The Architect's estimate for this project is a base cost of $375,000.00. Each bidder will be required to submit with his bid, a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the bid in conformance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, or a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid in accordance with Chapter 153.05 of the Ohio Revised Code. Attention is called to the fact that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, creed, sex or national origin as provided in RC 153.59. Attention is also called to the fact that the project is tax exempt. All questions must be submitted in writing, via email, to Jim Rockhold at jrockhold@wayneohio.org. Bidders are responsible for ensuring that all emails are sent and received. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the Invitation to Bid, all blanks of which must be accurately and appropriately completed. Bid proposals must be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners of Wayne County, Ohio, at 428 West Liberty Street, Lower Level, Wooster, Ohio 44691. Bidders shall submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of their Bid Proposal in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked: BID FOR EOC Dispatch Center Renovation Project. The outside of the sealed envelope shall also include the complete name and address of the bidder. If a bid proposal is submitted by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid proposal must be enclosed in an outer envelope addressed to the Board and designated as a bid for the project. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all irregularities and/or defects, and to accept the bid(s) deemed most beneficial to Wayne County. Until any contract(s) resulting from this Invitation to Bid is/are fully executed by all parties, including, but not limited to, the time between the adoption of any resolution(s) awarding and/or approving any contract(s) and full execution of said contract(s), this Reservation of Rights shall remain in effect. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or the authorized postponement thereof. No bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening.
