Copies may be examined at the office of the Public Service & Development Director located in Fairview Park City Hall and may be reserved for pick-up at the pre-bid meeting or at the office of Construction Resources, Inc. Contractors shall send representatives that are NOT exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms and have temperatures below 104 degrees. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same, shall state the price for labor and materials, and must be accompanied by a bid guaranty, meeting the requirements of Section 153.571 and 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the form of either a bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total bid drawn in favor of the City of Fairview Park, or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit on a solvent bank in Cuyahoga County, made payable to the City of Fairview Park in an amount not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. This project is federally assisted. Contracts awarded under this invitation for bids will be subject to federal laws and related acts. This is a David Bacon Prevailing Wage project and all applicable Prevailing Wage rates and requirements shall apply. Each bidder must insure that no employees and applicants for employment are discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. It is understood and agreed that work embodied in this Contract for the Base Bids and Alternates as awarded shall start on or about November 2, 2020, and be completed no later than December 30, 2020, unless an extension of time is granted by the Owner. A fee of $1,000 per day may be charged for work not complete by December 30, 2020. If in the opinion of the Owner, the acceptance of the lowest responsive and responsible bid is not in the best interest of all concerned, the Owner may accept another proposal so opened or reject all proposal..
