Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Specifications by request upon proper notice. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Forms in the manner designated in the Contract Documents. Proposals must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder, and the name of the Work on the outside; addressed to Mayor and Council, Township of Clark; and must be accompanied by a statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Township; and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of Township of Clark for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check need not exceed $20,000.00. No Telephone Inquiries Will Be Accepted. No Estimated Costs or Quantities Shall Be Given by Fax or Telephone. The Township reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective Bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before awarding the Contract. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964. D. All Bidders are required to comply with the Regulations of P.L. 1999, c.238, "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act" when dealing with repair, maintenance or improvements to a public building. All Bids shall be binding upon the Bidder for a period of 60 days subsequent to the opening of Bids.
