The proposed project consists of the replacement of outdated and underperforming water, sanitary and storm systems along the roadway through the Village of Plain City. The project spans from West Avenue to Bigelow Avenue. The project also includes complete roadway reconstruction and sidewalk replacement. Geometric changes to the existing corridor will be made to change the road from a two-way street to one-way street. Bids will be based on unit prices. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in an amount equal to 5% of the contract sum, and payable to the Village of Plain City will be required of all Bidders. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, equal to the amount of the Contract, will be required of the bidder awarded the Contract. A one-year Maintenance Bond will be required from a period beginning upon completion of the Contract work. Bidders must comply with the regulatory and licensing requirements of the State of Ohio. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid, and to award in the best interest of the Village.
