This Project is a Covered Project subject to the City of Seattle s Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) and Priority Hire SMC 20.37. With the support of the mayor and City Council, the City of Seattle administers programs that support racial and economic equity through contracting. Priority Hire is one of these programs. Priority Hire provides people living in economically distressed communities, women, and people of color access to work on the city s construction projects. It gives contractors access to these skilled workers. Project consists of the construction of an all new 22,000 gsf, three-story fire station and associated site improvements. Project includes but not limited to regrading, repaving, and construction of all new right of way improvements on N 113th Street and a new fire apparatus driveway and associated emergency vehicle traffic signal on Meridian Ave N. Clarification Deadline 10/23/2023 5:00 Pm The Bidder has attached a Bid Guaranty in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid that could be awarded including additives and retail sales tax if applicable in the form of cashier s check, certified check, or bid bond. The Owner reserves the right to change the date and time for Bid submittal. A/E ESTIMATE: Base: $24,380,000; Alternate (Substitutive) #1: $64,000; Alternate (Substitutive) #2: $391,000; Alternate (Substitutive) #3: $38,000; Alternate (Additive) #4: $85,000; Alternate (Additive) #5: $65,000 Alternate #1: Jack-up slab at Fitness Room Base Bid: At Level 3 Fitness room, provide rigid foam insulation at depth required to provide flush transition between room finish floor and hallway finished floor, over primary concrete slab and metal deck structural floor. Alternate (Substitutive) #1: At Level 3 Fitness room, provide jack-up slab floor assembly as specified in Section 03 47 16 - Cast-In-Place Floating Floors, over concrete slab and metal deck structural floor. See A011/1-F4. Alternate #2: Four-fold Doors at Apparatus Bay Base Bid: Provide sectional doors (SEC-1) as specified in Section 08 36 13 - Sectional Doors. FAS Rev 6/2020 Alternate #4: Carport Base Bid: Provide striping and paving only for extra-wide Fire Department operational SUV. Alternate (Additive) #4: Provide carport as located in plan and detailed on sheet G100. Alternate #5: Fire Protection Booster Pump Base Bid: Provide complete fire protection system specified in section 21 05 00 - Common Work Results for Fire Suppression Systems with no booster pump. Alternate (Additive) #5: Provide complete fire protection system as specified in section 21 05 00 - Common Work Results for Fire Suppression Systems with booster pump if required by designer of record.
