Project scope shall include approximately 135 acres of light clearing, 275,000 cy of detention pond excavation, and installation of 2,150 LF of 24-inch to 72-Inch RCP storm sewer. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount Bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. A Bidder submitting electronic Bids must submit its Bid and bid securities in compliance with Owner's Order Adopting Section 49.2731 Electronic Bidding Rules and all electronic Bids and bid securities must be submitted through www.CivcastUSA.com. Bidder must register on this website in order to submit a Bid and bid security and there is no charge/a charge to submit Bids and bid securities on this website. By submitting a Bid, Bidder acknowledges and agrees that the Contract Documents may be accepted, executed or agreed to through the use of an Electronic Signature, as defined by and in accordance with Owner's Electronic Signature Rules for Construction Contracts. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this Bid and/or Contract and the Contractor agrees that the Contract can be terminated if the Contractor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter. 1) Project location: Project site is located via State Highway 288 along County Road 56. 2) Project Description: Project scope shall include approximately 135 acres of light clearing, 275,000 cy of detention pond excavation, and installation of 2,150 LF of 24-inch to 72-Inch RCP storm sewer. 3) Bid date: Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 2:30 p.m. at the office of EHRA via Zoom Conference Call. 4) Owner: Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 56. 5) Contract time: one hundred eighty (180) calendar days. 6) Bid security: A Bid Bond, Cashiers Check or Certified Check for five percent (5%) of the maximum amount bid, made payable to the Owner. 7) Bonds: Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds, for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required. 8) Permits: Contractor shall obtain and pay for all construction permits which must be submitted along with Pay Request No.1 before payment can be made. 9) Start date: Anticipated start date is End of August 2020. 10) Construction Drawings: Construction Drawings are approved. 11) Liquidated Damages: Contractor shall be liable to Owner for liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 for each such calendar day.
