As of 7/27/2020 this project will not be awarded due to limited fund. The work for which bids are invited consists of: This project will include the following work on 4 city streets: milling, placement of 1 1/4" to 1 1/2' asphalt concrete, tack coat, adjustment of utilities, manholes and lampholes and the reconstruction of catch basins. The cost estimate for the Project Base Bid is $145,000 and $130,111 for Alternate Bid No. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company of corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide the surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party of parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed by October 15, 2020. All contractors and subtractions involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their work. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin. By order of the City of Marietta, Ohio. The City of Marietta reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process, and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in the City's opinion, offers the lowest and best bid.
