The Project consists of removal and disposal of the existing underground diesel storage tank (UST) and the installation of a new aboveground diesel storage tank (AST), including pertinent appurtenances and permits. Bids must be submitted on the Authority's Bid Forms. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or Bid Bond secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Authority, the amount of which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price, made payable to Water Facilities Authority as bid security. Unless otherwise provided in the Instructions for Bidders, each Bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to sections 7000 et seq. of the Business and Professions Code in the following classification(s) throughout the time it submits its Bid and for the duration of the contract: General Engineering "A", Electrical Contractor C-10, Pipeline Contractor C-34, Plumbing Contractor "C-36", or Limited Specialty "C61/D-40" and Hazardous Substance Removal Certification "HAZ". Authority shall award the contract for the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder as determined by the Authority from the BASE BID. Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
