The project is the subject line was awarded to Barry Associates of Preston, Connecticut for $722,000.00. This project includes the replacement of 88 heating natural gas heating and water heating systems for 45 duplexes (88 apartments). A satisfactory Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to Willimantic Housing Authority and shall be properly executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for 100% Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds, in the forms included in the Specifications. All bonds must be from sureties listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570. Bids, to receive consideration, must be in the hands of the authorized representative no later than the day and hour mentioned above. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after the opening of bids, without the consent of the above Housing Authority. The Housing Authority of the City of Willimantic reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any informality, or; to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of the Housing Authority.
