As of June 12, 2020, an awarded contractor has been confirmed and construction is expected to commence June 2020. As of June 2, 2020, it is expected that the award will be confirmed by June 10, 2020 and the awarded general contractor is to start the project within the following 14 days. The work includes the construction and renovation of two buildings. A new, 28,000 square foot two story, Response Forces (RF) Building will house the 123rd Airlift Wing (AW) and requires properly sized and configured facilities, which includes Security Forces Squadron (SFS), Force Support Squadron (FSS), the Emergency Medical Consequence Management (EMEDS-CM)ADMIN, and the Contingency Response Group (CRG). in addition to the space requirements above this building will have a main entry vestibule, secured access, two stair wells, an elevator, locker rooms (on both floors) an arms vault, and warehouse/storage space. In addition, the 123 AW will need to alter/renovate the SVS/FSRT administration space (4,211 square feet) and the base dining facility (1532 square feet) which are currently located in Building 100 which is immediately adjacent to the new Response Forces Facility. The supporting elements for this project for both facilities include: Utilities, Site Improvements, Pavement, Communications Support, Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Measures. These facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, General Building Requirements. The facility shall be compatible with applicable DoD, Air Force, and base standards. There will not be a pre-bid on the above referenced project.
