The City of Marietta, Ohio, will receive sealed bids for the materials and labor necessary for the Pine Meadows Tank, East Norwood Reservoir, and Glendale Reservoir Rehabilitation and Painting Project. The Marietta, Ohio may choose to not award the bid - and bidders shall hold bids open - until sixty days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of: (1) Pine 75,000 Gallon Tank - Clean exterior to a SSPC-SP11 standard and apply 3-coat epoxy fluoropolymer polyurethane system, clean wet interior to a SPC-SP-10 near-white metal standard and apply a 2-coat zinc plural component urethane system, water clean foundation and apply a 2-coat epoxy system, and miscellaneous improvements and upgrades; (2) East Norwood 2,000,000 Gallon Reservoir - Clean exterior to a SSPC-SP11 standard and apply 3-coat epoxy fluoropolymer polyurethane system, clean wet interior to a SPC-SP-10 near-white metal standard and apply a 2-coat zinc plural component urethane system, water clean foundation and apply a 2-coat epoxy system, and miscellaneous improvements and upgrades; (3) Glendale 2,040,000 Gallon Reservoir - Water clean foundation and apply a 2-coat epoxy system, and miscellaneous improvements and upgrades. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide the surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed by as per the scheduled outline in Section 00 00 40 of Technical Specifications. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their work. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. The Marietta, Ohio reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process, and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in the City's opinion, offers the lowest and best bid. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
