The project was awarded to Rolocut Construction LLC amount of $117,832.30 .. Project will start this Oct 21st and end November 30th. The project involves the installation of 540 feet of 12" ductile iron water main, 330 feet of 6" ductile iron fire service main and 330 feet of 2" copper domestic service pipe along with a hydrant assembly, valves, a meter pit and appurtenances. The work will also include the restoration of driveway and grass areas disturbed by the water main construction. As the project involves an extension of the Aquarion Water Company system, Aquarion personnel shall be involved in inspection and perform testing and disinfection operations. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, payable to the Town of Suffield, in the amount of 5% of the bid total as a guarantee. A certified check will not be accepted in lieu of a Bid Bond. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by the required bid bond. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids should it be in the Town's best interest to do so. The Contractor chosen for the project shall be required to furnish 100% Performance and Labor and Material bonds and proof of required insurance coverage and shall be approved for the project by Aquarion Water Company. All work under this project shall be subject to the Suffield Code of Ethics. The project is funded by Town funds and a $75,000 DEEP grant, which are in place. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the actual date of opening. The time frame for work on this project is 45 days.
