Cost Estimate is $950,000 The City of Marietta, Ohio may choose to not award the bid - and bidders shall hold bids open - until sixty days after the bid opening. The work for which bids are invited consists of: Waterline replacement project along Alta Street and Lancaster Street from Riley Drive to S.R. 7 (Fort Harmar Drive). Improvements include: main waterline replace, service laterals and valves, fire hydrants, and side street connections. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide the surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this that this project be completed by 105 days from Notice to Proceed, with Phases 1 & 2 to be completed within 49 days from Notice to Proceed. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of their work. Payment of Prevailing Wages is required for this Project. The City of Marietta, Ohio reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process, and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in the City's opinion, offers the lowest and best bid. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
