Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best bid(s). Direct questions about the Project to the City of Gahanna Director of Public Service and Engineering at (614)-342-4050. Engineer's Estimate: $486,908.70 The Project consists of removing and replacing a deficient bridge structure on Heil Drive over Sycamore Run. It is anticipated that the work will commence on June 19, 2019 and be completed by October 31, 2019. Only bidders pre-qualified with ODOT will be eligible to submit bids. Prequalification status must be in force at the time of bidding, sale, award, and through the life of the construction contract. For work types that ODOT does not prequalify, the LPA must still select a qualified contractor. The prime contractor must perform no less than 30 percent of the total original contract price. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) as described in the Information and Requirements for Bidders. ODOT must be listed as a co-obligee on all bonds. If State or Federal Labor Standards Provisions and State Wage Decisions are applicable to this project it will be a part of the contract documents. Please note there is a DBE Goal of 9%. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best bidder for each contract.
